Painted Pioneer-style hutch from island milled lumber

Mt. Pickett Woodworking has been building unique furniture pieces and custom cabinetry for 25 years on the east end of Orcas Island, in Washington's Puget Sound. Our traditional home furnishings are constructed one at a time from reclaimed lumber.

This antique wood comes from many sources--redwood from ancient wine vats, fir and larch from an irrigation flume in eastern Washington, pine planks from an old vinegar plant, and even timbers from an abandoned gold mine in Tonasket.

Many clients travel to Orcas Island to discuss their projects in person and to experience our beautiful island setting. Our passion for history and our craft, helps to generate an appreciation for the artisan craftsmen of centuries past.
